Paris Guide 001
There are plenty of Paris Guides out there, and as good and somewhat relevant as they can be, most of them do not come from true locals. Paris is full of wonderful places, mystery and excitement, the best shopping in the world if you ask me, the best of beauty in the world, lots of good food almost everywhere. I say this because there are a lot of tourist traps, and as beautiful a restaurant can be, it does not guarantee that you will be eating a quality meal, or a quality experience.
So here is a small personal guide of some of the places that were part of my everyday life in Paris.
Coffee Shops
-
La Cafeotheque: Wonderful spot in the 4eme arrondissement, they really know their coffee, and you are able to try wonderful coffee from all around the world.
-
Cafe du Clown: Super cozy spot in le Marché Saint Germain, I love going there on a rainy cold day and watching the people walk by. Great coffee and amazing croissants in the morning that are gone quite quickly.
-
Dreamin Man: Great Coffee, great crowd, dare I say this is where all the fashion people are going to for their morning and afternoon coffee. Nice neighborhood, vibes all around.
Beauty
-
David Mallett Salon: It's always a pleasure to be there ! Cannot recommend this salon enough, if you want cool hair, you have come here. David and all of his team and so kind. Did I mention this is one of the most beautiful salons that you will go to ?
-
Spa du Printemps: In this spa right inside the famous store Printemps, you can go to their wonderful spa and find the beautiful Coveline and Collagen Vital products. Want a true french spa experience? I’d go here and quickly treat yourself in between a shopping session.
-
Lucia Popa Brows: She is the brow queen herself. My brows had never looked better than when Lucia was doing them, and it has quite literally never been the same since. I never knew my brows could look that good, with her special technique, Lucia carefully takes care of her clients removing poile par poile, and the result is wispy thick, and even brows that change your entire complexion.
Restaurants
-
Lao Siam: Classic chinese right on boulevard Saint Germain, cozy restaurant, good food, great service. Always a go to for me on Sundays nights.
-
Bar de Prés: Yes it's worth all the hype you have seen online, Bar de Pres is one of those places that never fails you. Cozy, stylish, good sushi, and I would say its a great place to go on a date with.
-
Localino: Best Italian in town hands down. I love this place, and so does everyone I have taken them too. One of the best restaurants in Paris if you ask me.
Places/Activities
-
Musee Rodin: Might be quite known, but still one of my favorite places to go to in Paris. It in a lovely quiet area, and when you walk in there you are basically transported. One of Paris’s most beautiful and intimate museums. Wander through elegant rooms filled with Rodin’s sculptures before exploring the peaceful garden, where some of his most famous works are displayed among roses and greenery.
-
Les Puces de Saint-Ouen: A treasure hunt through one of the world’s largest antique markets. Explore its maze of stalls and boutiques filled with vintage fashion, art, furniture, jewelry and wonderfully unexpected finds.
-
A Walk Along the Seine at Sunset: Paris at its most romantic. Begin near Île Saint-Louis and follow the river as the light turns golden, passing historic bridges, booksellers and some of the city’s most beautiful views.
Paris is a city meant to be discovered slowly, and there is still so much more to share. I’ll be posting more of my favorite places, hidden gems and personal recommendations very soon—consider this just the beginning.
bisous,
P.
